SEPHORA KL

Hahahahaha!!! I just came back from KL. Was there to check out the new Sephora outlet beside Starhill Gallery. I say it’s pretty AWESOME! With so many brands to choose from one can only be spoilt for choices! All the usual high end brands that you can get from Parkson such as Dior and Givenchy is available, PLUS some US brand that we can finally see and touch! Too Faced and Urban Decay is finally here with some makeup under Sephora. Makeup Forever, Smashbox and Benefit is also in store. Without further ado here are some pics:

This is taken from across the streets infront of Pavillion.

The entrance….

The inside of the store…

Fragrance section..

That’s me looking at the eyeshadow section…just look at the colour selections…@@ I feel like a kid being place in the candy store….woooo :-P

Makeup tools by Sephora. A wide variety but it’s kinda expensive in my opinion for some of the brushes. They have face brushes in bright purple which if not mistaken cost RM75 but it felt harsh and plasticky to the touch. I can get softer brush at half that price in Etude house. But I’ve to admit having a bright purple brush or a funky pink one on my dressing table won’t look that bad, if only u were softer :-(

The bright orange thing in the picture above is the nail filler. Sephora do have a wide range of nails tools if you’re wondering.

Still at the Sephora makeup…the lippie section…I think they pratically carry all kind of shades of pink, brown, nudes, purple… And different kind of textures too…most cost bout RM49 but the packaging seem cheap, feels like it’s made out of cheap metal that can rust easily.

And finally I saw a band of Police Diraja performing outside of Pavillion. They apparently have some event on this coming 29th-30th April somewhere in KL.

Anyway, I manage to hold myself together and didn’t get anything from Sephora. But I am considering to go there as my one-stop for skincare and makeup purchases. The assistants there are pretty friendly and did not kacau me while I was strolling in the store. But maybe that was because they were busy with other customers. One assistant approached me while I was looking at the Smashbox counter and I asked her bout the Smashbox primer for oily skin. After some explaining she kept asking me to try the Urban Decay one. Should have know she wasn’t the SA for Smashbox when she look lost bout Smashbox products. Maybe the SA will turn into those tailing ones again when the crowd subside after the opening…Please please don’t be that, I want to shop in peace….

And on the way my Myvi tyre burst. Luckily we stop infront of a school and there were some uncle who helped change the flat tyre for us. Thank you kind hearted Samaritan…

p/s: yes I know you know how to change a flat tyre dear <3

Happy Always :-)

Estee Lauder Staff sales

Slept for less than 3 hours before rushing to Renaissance hotel at 4 am. I reached at 5 am sharp and there were already people lining up. After a 2 hours plus of waiting finally the gates to chaos open up. And the girls just rush in,running, stomping each other and grabbing stuff. Some went with their man and trust me when I say you will need as much help as you need. It’s like the woman says to man, ‘Grab my handbag *roll sleeves up* I’m going in!’ Man’s role is to hold on to the goods while the ladies push through the crowd.

I saw some personal shoppers there, you can tell by looking at the long list they are holding and keep ticking off stuff. I’ve thought of being one since shopping brings me a happy rush and a small part of me just love the chaos in there. Does that make me sound crazy?

I grabbed lots of stuff but put out almost 80% of it when sorting out my stuff. I had promise myself no more eye products so I put back all of those and only took the face product. The stuff there are still pretty expensive, I think the prices from the L’oreal Luxury sales was cheaper. Most stuff here are priced at RM75 to Rm110. And they pack the products like 20cents candies, the one where they is different different type of combination of stuff for a fixed price and it’s hard to find a pack where there is everything you like in it. This was especially so for the MAC counter, all kinds of combination of stuff, e.g. eyeshadow with lipstick and lipliner, RM75/pack. Lets say you want 3 eyeshadow but you just want the eyeshadow then how??? You will have to buy 3 packs with lipstick that you don’t even know what colour it is. This way you are so going to overspend, but great way for the company to clear their stock course people will need to take the package as it is including the stuff people don’t want, Smart huh?

Bobbi Brown has some really nice stuff and quite a complete range but it was sold out the fastest. I was the 2nd batch in and BB was the first counter I went and things were already sold out. Other counters like origins, Clinique and DKNY was bit quieter than Estee Lauder and MAC. I can’t even move through the crowd despite being so small size :-(

There are so many counters opened so no worries about long queues for payment. As I was paying I saw the display on the other cashiers amount paid by the customer from RM200++ range to RM600++ range. I can bet some might even purchase up to the limit RM2000.

I got 3 items and total was RM200. Can’t buy much cause I don’t want my dad to be yelling over the phone when my bills come. But still me happy happy happy that I get to go at the last minute :-D

Now picture time!

First up, me going crazy for getting the tickets:

Going crazy stage 1…

And finally the thing that look like a lipstick in the pic is the Foundation stick in Cool Beige 3.25 (RM75), it was a perfect match thank goodness!
