I hear wedding bells ringing!

A week ago I was busy helping out with the wedding stuff of my bf’s sis. It has been quite tiring that day but still fun as this is the first time I have been so involved in a wedding preparation. The wedding eve was held at my bf’s house. It was the first time I witnessed the whole Chinese ceremony for the bride. His sis was so cute despite being at the age of 25 (more like a 5 year old child I should say). According to Chinese traditions It should be the ‘last time’ she would be a child as getting married means growing up. Pictures from the ceremony below:

Bf’s parents feeding the bride dessert.

Parents ready to burn the ‘gold paper’.

The bride herself looking sweet in pink pyjamas.

Me and bf’s another sis buat kacau…hehe :-P

And the pictures on the next morning:

Bridegroom arriving from Penang to swipe the bride off her feet..lol :-D

Yeah! The groom manage to get the bride to open the door!

The bride and groom…

Then after the tea ceremony to respect the elders we head off to the groom’s side of the family in Penang.

My BF and his sisters.

For wedding dinner pics please view my facebook profile, too many pictures to post it here. But here is the pic of the my makeup for the wedding dinner:

The lighting was terribly and this is the only pic that best shows my makeup. I did a purple smokey eye and kept the others tone down but somehow my lipstick ain’t nude enough. I was using my new Revlon Colourburst lipstick in Blush.

Face:
Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie
Stage Picture Perfect foundation in 04 Dolly
Giorgio Armani Loose Powder in 0
Revlon Colorstay Mineral Blush in 030 Roseberry
Etude house 3 colour blush in 2 for highlighting

Eyes:
Etude Proof 10 eye primer
Etude eye glow pencil in grey for base colour
Manly 120 eyeshadow in black, purple, light purple and white (Can’t remember the colour but anything similar should do too)
Maybelline Angelfit concealer in 02 natural beige
Maybelline eyestudio gel liner in 01 black
Stage eye liner in black for tightlining
Revlon beyond natural Defining Mascara in 02 black (waterproof)
Silky girl Funky Eyelights pencil in 08 Frosty Silver (for lining the lower lashline)
Maybelline eyebrow pencil in Black
False lashes from Sasa
Panasonic heated lash curler

WOW! Now after listing the products I’ve used then I notice it was such a long list. All these for 2 eyes???

I guess that’s the reason I didn’t have time to put on my colour contacts and curl my hair…. My braces make me look so ‘k-yeng’ when I smile :-(

That aside, my utmost wishes to the new married couple. Congrats! And thanks for having me there :-)

Happy Always.

Recently I have been buying….

1)  I don’t even know what’s its name, let me check….Oh ya! Revlon ColourBurst Lipstick in 035 Blush. Didn’t really went and notice what is the exact name of the product, all I know is it is a new lipstick from Revlon in a colour called Blush. I should start paying attention to details, not that I don’t but why mind remembering the name when there are enough cosmetic brands out there taking up my mind space :-P

I did take all the swatches but dumb me for rubbing it all off before taking a picture. There are 8 shades from this range. Maybe I could try explaining the colour? So weird, can colour really be explained?

There is a nude shade in the range that my sis told me I look like I had Leukaemia when I tested it on, so proven it is really nude. A nude pink ( the one I bought), a peach colour (a very nice everyday colour), a dark purple ( looks weird on me but I think it will look great on darker skin shade), a really red red (can you say glam? Jessica Alba was wearing it in the ad), a dark brown, a fuschia pink (very bright and funky) and a purplish-nude kinda colour, its called Mauve.

It’s now on offer price of RM33 when I bought it from Watson Midvalley.

My lips before applying the lipstick:

After applying 2 layers:

Before applying it my dry lips look ‘not-dry’, but after applying it all are accentuated. The lipstick shank into my lips causing it to look old and dry. But I still like the colour as it finished with a nice subtle shine.

2) Makeup train cases. I bought not one but two! When I bought the first one I wasn’t thinking straight. I was on my online-shopping crazy urge again and since my boyfriend is not around to hold my purse and stop me I did damage. Luckily it wasn’t much. I went online searching for a train case to fit all my makeup in so that I can take it back with me this weekend to Taiping. I found one in black on Superbuy.com but when I actually went and collect it I regretted. It was so small and it can’t even fit in my 120 manly eyeshadow palette. But for RM35 you can’t expect too much.

Here are the pictures:

When fully open up…

Then later that day when I was in Sunway Pyramid I saw a Japanese shop selling all kinds of shape and sizes! And they are on 20% discount. I should have hang myself for being so impatient! Arghhh… Wasted RM35, now what should I do about this one then?

This is the 2nd train case I was telling you about. I chose this one after looking at about 8 others. The shop is called YOKOSO! Shiyuki. They sell a lot if interesting Japanese stuff and is located at LG2 close to Subway. This one the original price is RM142 but after discount is RM113. Compared this one to the black one it appeared to be very huge.

Tobbie was in every picture I taken, guess she takes after me, having an interest in makeup….lol :-D
This is the top view when open up.

Tobbie is very very curious with the train case.
The train case can be open up into 2 tiers each side. And there is a large space below enough to put bottles of foundations, makeup remover, my eyeshadow palette and maybe even my hair dryer and curler?

Side view of my train case…

After fitting all my stuff will look something like this:

This post is getting really long so I’m going to post some of the other stuff in the next post.

Till then…

Crazy eyes!

I recently bought two pairs of contacts from Jujulens on Facebook. Each at rm25. The first pair that came one of it is defect good and once I told the seller she immediately said she will change a new one for me. This is what I call good customer service. Because of this I bought another pair from her. Here are the pictures of the lens I bought :

On the most top is the original DM23 series in blue but nowadays it it selling under the name of Kira- Kira series too.
The 2nd pair is Candy series in violet. This one has a very vibrant colour tat seems to look bit scary in pictures.

I’m wearing the kira-kira series in blue. As you can see the colour isn’t really that obvious even under camera flash but its enlarging effect is superb. You will have your eyes looking like a doll when wearing this. I chose this pair at first because I can’t wear normal smaller lenses as it will block my view. But with this the colour part of the lens doesn’t move into my view. I love this as it is so comfortable to wear up to 4 hours.

This is me wearing the Candy series in violet. You can tell that this one the colour is definitely more vibrant. This picture is taken under flash but it will look more subtle in normal light. This one doesn’t enlarge the eyes as much as the top one but colour is really nice. I bet it will look so good with pink eye shadows.

The blue lens gave me a really kawaii look when paired with makeup. I believe with a pair of colour contacts makeup that are over the top looks okay and whatever facial expression you make you still look cute. I tried it and hypotesis proven :-P

Its fun to play around with different colour contacts now that I found my new play-thing. I’m aiming to try pink colour contacts next when I have enough $$$ but for now these two pairs will keep me occupied.

Happy always.
